​Restaurant or eatery owners are reminded to keep the oil filter clean by not allowing pollution that can cause dirty and smelly drains. The reminder was issued by the Enforcement Division of the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department following a restaurant being issued a compound fine for allowing oil to drip into the drain at the back of the restaurant building.

WING SOON RESTAURANT was issued a one thousand dollar compound fine and given 7 days to settle the fine and if in default, the matter will be brought to the court.

In this regard, the public and companies are also reminded to dispose of waste in the places provided and not to leave any type of rubbish in public places to maintain the cleanliness of the environment.
