​The family plays a role in educating children in order to produce a future generation that can benefit the nation. This was highlighted in a Family Day Forum organised by the Mukim Pekan Tutong Consultative Council on 22nd June morning, at the Official Residence of the Tutong District Officer.

The forum titled 'Empowering the Family Institution' also highlighted that a family institution can be strengthened and empowered by carrying out the entrusted responsibilities. In attendance was Awang Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer.
