The Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Halal Food Control Division, recently carried out the 'Operasi Rondaan' in Sengkurong.

During the operation, 59 food premises were inspected. Of that number, 28 premises were found to have not yet applied for a Halal Certificate and were issued a notice to submit an application for a Halal Certificate within 6 months. The Syariah Affairs Department reminds that the application to obtain a Halal Certificate or Halal Permit for food businesses operating in the country is mandatory and urges all food operators who do not yet have a Halal Certificate or Halal Permit, to submit the application immediately.
