In conjunction with the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society's 76th anniversary, a ceremony was held on 30th June morning, in Beribi to celebrate the association's establishment.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. 41 people comprising veteran senior officers, officers and volunteers received the BRC Distinguished Medal of Honor, while 2 other received the BRC Henry Dunant Award.
