Dehydration cases among the country's haj pilgrims this year showed an increase following the extremely hot weather in the Holy Land, but said cases had been addressed effectively. The Head of the Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrim Management Office stated the matter in an interview with RTB after the Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrim Management Office delegation safely arrived in the country on 1st July night.

Present at the Brunei International Airport to welcome the delegation were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The delegation left for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the 11th of May to make early preparations with authorities in said country.
