The Down Syndrome Association (ABLE) recently held the Bertuntun Ria and Fun Walk 2016 at the recreational park in Jalan Menteri Besar, Commonwealth Drive.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof and his spouse were the guests of honour.

Also present were government department officials as well as parents and guardians of association members and special needs children.

After a speech by ABLE President Ustazah Hajah Zaliha binti Abu Salim, the guest of honour launched the event that featured activities that included an aerobics session and 2.5km fun-walk.

The event aimed to raise awareness on Down Syndrome and to help foster close relations among association members and the public.

ABLE expressed gratitude to all event sponsors including Lotus Light Charity Society, IBIC Sdn Bhd, Berkat ATB Enterprise and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, as well as individuals who helped ensure the success of the event.
