KUPU SB, APUSEN Conduct Youth Forum

Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific University Community Engagement Network (APUSEN), organised a youth forum in conjunction with the National Youth Education Seminar yesterday at Tarbiyyah Hall of KUPU SB.
The panelists of the forum were Professor Dato' Dr Omar bin Othman, former president of APUCEN; Zefri Ariff bin Mohammad Ztin Ariff, lecturer at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD); and Khairul Nazif bin Haji Damit, Assistant Lecturer at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) with Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Miakbar, Director of the Core Knowledge Centre of KUPU SB as the moderator of the forum.
The forum, 'Visionary Youth: Catalyst for Transformation', highlighted the definition of visionary youth from different angles and their transformation, importance of youth in Islam as well as the characteristics of youth transformation which bring about a positive impact on society.
In an interview, Dr Haji Noralizam said the forum aimed to provide the youth with useful information to motivate them as well as instil the youth with knowledge, skills, faith and good personality.
The forum also sought to create visionary youths who strive to improve to become future leaders who will contribute to the development of the country as well as encourage community work.
Also present were Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar, Acting Ra'es of KUPU SB; officers from students affairs departments of higher learning institutions as well as students of government and private higher learning institutions, sixth form centres and Youth Development Centre.
