Cameron Diaz’s husband Benji Madden celebrated a major milestone for the duo after the actress made her first film appearance in over 10 years with Back in Action.
Benji Madden is thrilled to see Cameron Diaz back in action.
As the My Best Friend's Wedding actress makes her first film appearance in 10 years alongside Jamie Foxx in the Netflix movie, which hits the streamer today, Jan. 17, Benji couldn’t help but gush over his wife and her achievement.
“This is my QUEEN,” the Good Charlotte member wrote in a Jan. 16 Instagram post. “I celebrate this BAD ASS WOMAN. Wife, Mommy, friend, partner, Boss, and lover. We just hit 10 YEARS married on January 5th and every year only gets more fulfilling. It’s special.”
And Benji—who first met Cameron in 2014—couldn’t be more proud to call her his wife.
“Never perfect—always real—always reliable,” the 45-year-old continued. “Every day getting to have my best friend with me ride or die. What a beautiful life. I am GRATEFUL!!! and ANOTHER MiLESTONE happening TOMORROW!!! We are SO happy to see you….BACK IN ACTION!!….Congrats baby!”
While Cameron—who made her first red carpet appearance in five years for the Back in Action premiere—allowed her acting career to take the backseat, she hasn’t put life on hold. Instead, she’s been focused on helming her organic wine brand Avaline, as well as expanding her family. After all, she and Benji welcomed 5-year-old Raddix in 2019 and son Cardinal just last year.
“He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here!” The couple wrote in a joint Instagram post welcoming their son in March. “For the kids safety and privacy we won’t be posting any pictures—but he’s a really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful.”
As for the secret to Cameron and Benji’s happy life together? Cameron recently shared that it’s therapy.
“Therapy is a big thing in our family, thank God,” the 52-year-old explained in a Dec. 10 episode of the Artist Friendly podcast. “It’s what we depend on, so you have that commitment to work on it.”
She emphasized that she and her husband focus on keeping each other as their number one priority.
“Both people are not 100 percent every day,” she continued. “Even if you’re mad at each other and don’t want to see each other, sick of each other, it’s still 100 percent commitment to the marriage and to the partnership and getting things in the family. If it’s not 100 percent, it just doesn’t work if one person’s at a deficit.”
