Riverdale alum Lili Reinhart detailed how her boyfriend, La Brea actor Jack Martin, has supported her amid her interstitial cystitis diagnosis and mental health struggles.

And the Riverdale alum made her feelings for the La Brea star known, as she shared how he helped her when she was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, a condition that can cause pain in the bladder and pelvis, per the Mayo Clinic.

“Never in my life could I have gotten through this without my partner,” she wrote in an Instagram Stories post Jan. 23. “It’s not easy to have a chronically ill girlfriend—when I spent months barely leaving the house, couldn’t walk due to pain, and felt incredibly depressed due to the shift in my quality of life.”

Lili—who previously dated her Riverdale costar Cole Sprouse from 2018 to 2020—continued, “Jack’s love and support has never waivered for a second during a time when my body was truly falling apart.”

Jack, 26, was also by Lili’s side through another difficult experience, holding her hand as she battled her inner demons following a public appearance in October 2024.

“That’s the ironic thing that people don’t see,” she told Self in an interview published Jan. 22. “I’m literally in Washington, D.C., at the White House giving a speech on mental health. And then that same night, I am sobbing, in so much discomfort, and feel so defeated.”

As the actress continues to contend with her interstitial cystitis—which affects about 1 percent of people in the United States, according to the CDC—she explained why using her platform to bring awareness to the condition is so important to her.

“No one ever knows what that is when I talk about it,” Lili continued. “But my urogyno is telling me so many women have this, and that’s why I think it’s as important as it is to just be like, ‘Hey, I’m dealing with it too.’”
