Two local men were charged in the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for offences under the Excise Order 2006.

 

HAJI MOHAIDI BIN HAJI MAHARI, 42, was charged with two charges. The first offence was possessing 151 bottles of vape juice and 450 unit of vape of various brands without authorisation. While the second offence was possessing 124 unit of vape equipment of various brands without authorisation. For the first offence, he was fined $29,140 or 15 months imprisonment in default. While for the second offence, he was fined $8,896 or 8 months imprisonment in default. The total fine was $38,036 or 23 months imprisonment in default. All the contraband were seized and cash amounting to $683 were seized to be handed over to the government for further action.
