A car skidded at 9.15am at about 24 Km from Miri yesterday. The accident left the family with minor injuries including a three year old boy who was brought down safely from a six foot tree. The car skidded off the road and over turned by the roadside where the little boy was thrown to the back seat.

According to the driver who is the boy’s mother, the car got out of control moments after they crossed the Asean Bridge at Kuala Baram – Sungai Tujuh Road. The boy was travelling with his mother and five siblings to Miri.

The car landed on its roof. A traffic police personnel and mobile police vehicle (MPV) immediately rushed to the scene to help the victims out the car. Investigation is still being undertaken to determine the actual cause of the accident.

The victims were taken to Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait where all victims escaped with minor injuries
