BDRCS Makes Donation to Unfortunate Fire Victims

The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) yesterday distributed donations at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. The distribution of donations was for the fire victims who were affected by the recent fire mishaps that have destroyed 24 houses in Kampong Pandai Besi and Kampong Lurong Dalam in Kampong Ayer.

 

Some 13 affected families received their daily essentials in the form of dried foods, rice, instant noodles, baby essentials, water and more.

 

According to Community and Resilient Empowerment (CARE) Director of BDRCS, Hisham Ismail shared with the media that the project was part of BDRCS's Ikhlas Project 4.0' following the success of previous projects held by them.

 

He added that, the project was carried out for three days from December 9 to 11 and received enormous support from the general public.

 


He also shared that BDRCS will also carry out another project for the upcoming 2017 New Year school terms. The project will be in collaboiation with the Ministry of Education.

 


Presenting the donation to the recipients was BDRCS Secretary General, Sheikh Haji Abdul Kadir bin Abdullah.
