Customs Contraband Seized

​The Royal Customs and Excise Department through the Law Enforcement Section conducted a joint operation with the Royal Brunei Police Force and Royal Brunei Armed Forces on the 8th of May 2025 at a house in RPN Kampung Lambak Kanan.

 

During the operation, the Royal Customs and Excise Department apprehended 2 local men and a male permanent resident, aged between 21 and 42, for the offence of possessing 1,500 cartons of cigarettes of various brands, 10 cans of alcoholic drinks and a unit of vape. Also seized were cash totalling $1,752 dollars, believed to be proceeds from the sale of the customs contraband as well as two vehicles believed to be used to carry out smuggling activities. All the seized items and individuals were brought to the Law Enforcement Section, Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
