Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex Cassie Ventura testified in court that the music mogul insisted she call him by the same nickname she used for her grandfather, according to NBC News.

During her testimony in the disgraced music mogul’s sex trafficking trial May 13, the “Me & U” singer said she referred to him as “Pop Pop” during their decade-long relationship, according to NBC News, who had a reporter in the New York City courtroom.

As for the origin of the moniker, Ventura, 38, testified that Combs, 55, insisted upon using it because it was what she called her grandfather, according to a reporter for The New York Times. Ventura added, “I thought it was weird.”

Meanwhile, Ventura told the court that Combs—who has pled not guilty to the five federal charges brought against him—would call her “CC” and “Baby Girl,” per NBC News.

During her hours-long testimony, Ventura—who is expecting her third baby with husband Alex Fine—also detailed her involvement in Combs’ alleged “freak offs,” which she described as “a sexual encounter with a third party” that entailed “hiring an escort and setting up so I can perform for Sean.”

“Eventually it became a job for me,” she continued, according to the outlet. “I had the contacts to set it up in the hotel room and all of that. At the beginning, Sean set it up.”

While she acknowledged that participating in the encounters “wasn’t something that I wanted to be doing,” the singer cited her devotion to Combs as her reason for continuing to engage in the parties.

“I was in love and wanted to make him happy,” she continued. “At some point I felt I didn’t have much of a choice. I didn’t know what ‘no’ could turn into.”
