A female Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF personnel embraced Islam at a conversion ceremony in Kampung Sungai Damit Pemadang, Tutong District, 4th July afternoon.

Dayang Shereni binti Imbaran is now known as Nur Shereni binti Abdullah Imbaran. Present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub, Member of the Legislative Council. According to the Islamic Da'wah Centre, 128 have converted to Islam from January to June this year, with 36 of them from Tutong District.

Another conversion ceremony was held for an Iban man held at the Da'wah Unit Office in Temburong District. Awang Bedwind Balang Anak Serai, a Malaysian, chose the name Muhammad Azim Irwin Bin Abdullah. Present, Awang Haji Hazimin bin Haji Metali, Religious Development Officer at the Temburong District Da'wah Unit Office. Until June this year, 19 people from Temburong District have chosen Islam as their new faith.
