Contraband Found and Seized In Brunei Bay

During a recent joint operation conducted by the Marine Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) ,
contraband items and suspected drug paraphernalia were discovered in the Brunei Bay, near Pulau Chermin.
According to a statement released by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the discovery was made when NCB enforcement personnnel stopped a fibre-glass boat for inspection and found 120kg of raw chicken rump in plastic bags and boxes.
They also found a drinking straw containing traces of crystal methamphetamine (syabu), a utensil for suspected drug use and a modified lighter in the boat.
While the confiscated items were handed over to the relevant enforcement agencies ,the boat driver was detained for further investigation, .
The RBPF is reminding the public to steer clear of activities in violation of the laws and regulations of Brunei Darussalam, and to always cooperate with law enforcement agencies in ensuring the.safety and security of the country's waterways.
