Digital TV Coming Next Year Thanks To China’s Assistance

China’s Yunnan Mobile Digital TV Corporation will install a digital TV system in Laos next year.

 

The Lao Mass Media Department and China’s Yunnan Mobile Digital TV Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation for the digital system.

 

The MoU contributes to the existing bilateral cooperation on mass media between Laos and China.

 

China’s Yunnan Mobile Digital TV Corporation will help Laos to change TV and Radio analogue systems to digital systems across the country and beginning next year, will also providing training on how to use the digital radio and TV.

 

The MoU was signed on Dec 23 in Vientiane Capital between Director of the Mass Media Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Pinpathana Phanthamaly and Deputy Director of China’s Yunnan Mobile Digital TV Corporation, Mr Yin Fan.

 

The event was witnessed by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Savankhone Razmountry and relevant official of both sides.
