18 Locals Off to 1st Trans Borneo 2016 Expedition

A total of 18 participants yesterday departed for the first Trans Borneo 2016 Expedition around Borneo Island from April 17-27.

 

The expedition will cover a distance of 5,200 kilometres, spanning 10 days and 11 nights. The expedition is organised by Silver Hawk Head Chapter Brunei.

 

President of Silver Hawk Head Chapter Brunei, Chua Pheng Chai, who is also taking part in the expedition, said that expedition participants will be using four 4WD vehicles and seven bikes.

 

The participants comprise of 10 Bruneians including four brothers from Belait District and those from Malaysia, Italy and India.

 

He said the main challenge for the adventure will be travelling the Brunei route to North Kalimantan and that for each day, the participants will be travelling for 500 kilometres.
