KEMUDA Institute Continues to Develop Capacity of Young People Through Programs

Yesterday, KEMUDA Institute in Beribi held an inauguration ceremony for its 2017 Student council intake. The event was attended by the institutes’ management, lecturers, staffs and students from both its BSB and Kuala Belait Branch.

Also present during the event was Dato Paduka Hj. Abddul Razak Bin Hj. Muhammad,   founder of the institute.

During his speech, he addressed the proposal of a student incubation program. He stated that the institute is working towards its vision and mission to develop the capacity of the students.

“First of all, we want to change mindset of the students as nowadays it’s not easy to get job. We have to develop the idea for our students to be more independent and this is where the student council comes in. The student council will form the program in which incubation funds will be given for the student to run their own business. The aim is for the students to be able to see opportunities out there and make use of them”

Hajah Hasnah Bin Azri, Administration Officer of KEMUDA Institute in an interview with Brudirect stated that this is to ensure that this also goes in line with the country’s 2035 vision.

“Our institute’s mission and vision is being able to develop the capacity young people which is in line with the governments vision. This is not just in the field of ICT but also in their whole development, working towards Brunei being a knowledgeable society. It is not simply about getting a qualification but is able to make something for themselves to create employment for themselves. “

The event started with a welcoming speech by the 2016 student council president of the Kuala Belait Branch followed by the handing over of duties to the new intake.

16 students took oath for this year’s handing of task and was followed by an inspirational speech by the newly elected student council 2017. A certificate of Appreciation to Student Council 2016-17 was delivered by the head of student affairs. The event ended with a photography session.
