According to the Friday Sermon yesterday, the nation need to equip themselves with knowledge and skills so as to enhance creativity and innovation for Vision 2035.

 

The Vision 2035 was formed by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, where he desires a nation with skilled and educated citizens, loyal to the monarch and the country, have faith in Islamic values.

 

His Majesty said the religion of Islam guarantees security and prosperity for all, and no one should have any fear or apprehensions about it, hence, as the leader of the nation he uphold the teachings of Islam in governance, with 'Melayu Islam Beraja' as the national philosophy.

 

Brunei citizens and residents are invited to Maghrib congregational prayers at mosques, suraus and prayer halls across the country on the evening of February 22, in addition to recitals of the Surah Yaasiin and offering thanksgiving prayers in conclusion of yesterday's sermon.
