Home-Based Food Vendors Attended Food Manufacturing, Safety Management Course

A total of 20 home-based food vendors who attended a recently held Food Manufacturing and Safety Management course have received their certificate at the end of the course.
The certificate was presented by Maidin Tinggal of Scads Consultancy Services who conducted the training. The course was organised by Sweet Button Enterprise.
According to Tuti of Sweet Button Enterprise, the objective of the course is to help home-based food vendor entrepreneurs understand the basics of hygiene, food manufacturing and safety. This is because the foods will be sold at food cubes and other retail shops in the country.
Among the topics of the course yesterday were food contamination, food poisoning, pollution prevention, self-hygiene, proper food storage, sanitation, disposal and pest control and also the Food Safety Act.
