Tajwid and fasahah or pronunciation, voice and rhythm are among the criteria taken into account for the judge's evaluation in Musabaqah Al-Quran or Al-quran reading competitions. To enable judges to make a precise and correct evaluation, guidance is also required. The criteria taken into account in judge's evaluation were shared at the Brunei Darussalam National Musabaqah Al-Quran for Adults Judge Workshop.
16 participants comprising former qaris, mosque imams and officers skilled in certain fields took part in the workshop. The 3-day workshop is organised by the Islamic Syiar Development Section, Ministry of Religious Affairs. During the workshop, participants are exposed to the different forms of Musabaqah Al-Quran judge evaluations at the levels of mosque zone, schools or quarter finals and semi-finals.
