The Minister of Development also gave an insight on several main infrastructure projects which are currently ongoing, including the Temburong Bridge project which is slated for completion by the end of 2019, and the Sungai Kebun Bridge which is expected to be completed in August this year.

Yang Berhormat said in an effort to improve the road network to reduce traffic congestion and support economic activities, the construction or upgrading of new roads and bridges have been carried out. Firstly, the Temburong bridge project, which is carried out in 4 packages, where 3 main packages are actively being carried out, while another package is still in the tendering stage. Yang Berhormat added that the overall progress of the Temburong bridge project is at 17 percent, while the Sungai Kebun Bridge is 97 percent completed. Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat said that the flyover project at the Jalan Gadong/ Jalan Telanai junction is 90 percent completed and will be ready around April this year; the widening of Jalan Residency has reached 60 percent progress and is slated for completion in April 2018, while progress on the construction of the second lane on the Seria By-pass is at 60 percent and is expected to be completed in October this year.
