Businessman Andi Agustinus, also known as Andi Narogong, underwent questioning at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday as a suspect in a graft case related to the e-ID card procurement project.

“Today we have again questioned AA [Andi Agustinus] after the first questioning we held after his arrest. We confirmed several pieces of information related to the e-ID case. One of them is related to searches we carried out last Friday and on Monday,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah.

On Friday, KPK personnel searched a house on Jl. Tebet Timur Raya, South Jakarta, and confiscated several asset ownership documents and two cars.  “The house does not belong to either Andi or his brother,” Febri said.

KPK investigators later searched a different house on Jl. Tebet Barat 1 and confiscated several documents, including some of Andi’s financial records, on Monday.

The investigators confirmed that the documents to Andi during his questioning on Tuesday.

The KPK arrested Andi and named him a suspect on March 23 for allegedly bribing Home Ministry officials and several House of Representatives members in his attempt to get House approval for the Rp 5.9 trillion (US$442.71 million) budget for the e-ID card project.

Febri emphasized that in handling this case, the KPK would not stop only at Sugiharto and Irman, two Home Ministry officials named suspects in the case who were currently undergoing trial. “The KPK will investigate further through the existing information and facts gathered from the trial,” he said.
