Maintaining Safety and Health at the Workplace is a continuous effort and shared responsibility. Workers participation is necessary to implement a workplace safety and health management system in an organization as well as creating a safety and health culture at the workplace.

Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Commissioner of Labour, Ministry of Home Affairs underlined the matter at the 4th ASEAN Occupational, Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET) Conference, yesterday morning. The conference took place at Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong. About 100 participants from all industries and sectors in Brunei as well as ASEAN Delegates and External collaborators attend the conference. The conference brings together government officials, international experts and business leaders to share insights about developments and best practices of safety and health at the workplace. ASEAN-OSHNET Conference is one of the key initiatives under the ASEAN-OSHNET Plan of Action for 2011 to 2015, to raise the profile of Occupation, Safety and Health within the region.
