The latest such efforts are the organisation of a Food Value Chain Seminar held since last Monday at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Health Science Institute, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD.

The 3-day seminar came to a close this afternoon with presentation of certificates. The workshop was organised with the support of the ASEAN-Japan partnership programme under ASEAN-Japan coorperation project. The certificates to more than 50 students were presented by Doctor Abby Tan Chee Hong, The Co-Chair of the organising committee, Dean of Faculty of Science of UBD.

The participants were from the local universities and educational institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises SME's, officers from government and private sectors, as well as other stakeholders.  At the seminar, the participants gained the knowledge and experiences shared by a team of experts from various renowned Japanese food companies on the differences in the food value chain levels including knowledge in food production, processing and marketing.
