207 SUAMPRIPAD Students Feted to a Prize Presentation Ceremony

A total of 207 students of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAD) received awards of excellence during a prize presentation ceremony for outstanding students. The ceremony was held on Thursday at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.

 

Presenting the prizes was the guest of honour, Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

 

In a speech, the guest of honour underlined that such ceremonies can instil and strengthen the spirit among the students in achieving outstanding results in education and create healthy competition as well as positive competitiveness in the field of religion and academic.

 

"I believe that the success achieved by the students today came from their efforts and support from their teachers and parents," he added.

 

He also added that teachers are agents in supporting the spirit of the students and act as the main supporter in realising the Brunei Vision 2035 to produce educated and highly-skilled community.

 

Divided into seven categories, 58 students were awarded the Best Student Award according to four years programme of Sanah 7; 36 students awarded Successful Student Award for participating in four years programme of Sanah 7; Best Student Award in Final Examination went to 35 students of Sanah 9 and 15 students of Sanah 10 Normal track; 37 students were awarded for the best attendance, 16 students got the Best SPUB Award; seven students awarded the Best BC-GCE 'O' Level Award, and one student the Exemplary Student Award and Excellence Students Awards in Academic and Co-Curriculum.

 

The event was aimed to provide appreciation and recognition as well as to celebrate the achievement of the students in the field of academics and co-curriculum.

 

It also acted as a platform of motivation for other students to further enhance their performance.

 

Also saw during the event were a speech delivered by the chairman of the ceremony, Ustazah Hajah Rusidah binti Haji Talip, the Principal of SUAMPRIPAD, stage performance and video presentation.

 

The event concluded with the recitation of Doa.
