TUTONG

Every ethnic race in the country has its own unique culture such as the rhythm and combination of drums, dance, games and traditional handicraft.  This can be seen with the building of a centre that allows it members to be active in socio-culture and socio-economy.   The matter was highlighted by the Tutong District Officer at the Adau Gayoh Get-Together Ceremony organised by Pakatan Sang Jati Dusun, PSJD, Negara Brunei Darussalam, this morning.   According to Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohammad Hussain, efforts and determination can foster unity especially among the association members and the Dusun community in the country.

Brunei's ethnic Dusuns' association, according to Awang Shamsul has been active for almost 60 years.  It is a mature age for any community association who have been through various experiences and successes in leading its members as well as its socio-culture and socio-economy.   The Tutong District Officer expressed hope that the association's commitment and achievements will become a role-model to youth and the next generation. This year's celebration carried the theme, "BAGIMBA" or the highlight and gratitude after a lucrative harvest. Almost 200 members are currently registered with PSJD.
