The encouraging participation of the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, MSME's in the first Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME's Innovation Conference and Exposition and Brunei Showcase at the China-ASEAN Exposition, CAEXPO 2017 can contribute to the country's economy.  According to the Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister's Office, the participation of MSME's is highly beneficial to them not only for marketing their products but also to help them expand their business overseas. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Retired Colonel Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar shared this view in an exclusive interview with RTB on the final day of the expo yesterday.

The 3-day expo was themed 'Made in Brunei Market Festival'. The first of its kind, the expo provides opportunities for local micro, small and medium entrepreneurs to promote themselves through the best strategies and marketing as well as highlighting their products so that consumers and buyers can support local products. Throughout the expo, the public's response was very encouraging, with some entrepreneurs needing to re-stock their products. For the entrepreneurs, the unexpected response will become a motivation for them to make more of an effort to bring forth new products that are more innovative.
