The Land Department continues to encourage the public to venture into strata property investment either as land owners or property developers. It can contribute to the generation of the country's economic development by boosting development industry growth and attract the interest of investors in the property sector. Yesterday, the department held a Roadshow on the Dissemination of the Implementation of Land Code Strata Ownership in its efforts to inform stakeholders on the advantages of property owners to use the strata ownership method and processing procedures.

Present were Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Mohd Siput and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin, Members of the Legislative Council. The briefing among other matters touched on the Introduction of Strata Ownership Act, Strata Building Division Process and Strata Ownership Transfer Process. The Strata Ownership Act is ownership issued for every unit for a building that has more than two units whereby approval to divide up the building has been given and the completed building has received permission from the authorities. The roadshow was held at the Kuala Belait Conference Hall.
