Launch Of Information Department's Mobile Application, Infodept.BN

The Information Department has introduced a mobile application 'InfoDept.BN' in conjunction with the department's 65th anniversary. The application enables the public to obtain information at their fingertips easily and can be understood in line with today's era of technology.

 

Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Director of Information in his speech among other matters underscored that the use of the 'InfoDept.BN' mobile phone application is hoped to act as a 'One-Stop Information' that can explain and help tackle incorrect news and any speculations on Brunei Darussalam. The mobile application can enhance information and understanding on the government's policies and initiatives towards achieving Wawasan Brunei 2035. In medium and long-terms, the department will be able to save the government's budget and at the same time moving towards paperless and green IT.

 

The launch was officiated by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar, the Deputy Minister of Security and Media at the Prime Minister's Office. Also present was Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, the Permanent Secretary of Economy and Finance at the Prime Minister's Office. The mobile application is designed to bring forward the Information Department's image to one that is more efficient and enhance the department's performance to become more excellent aside from helping the department achieve its motto, vision and mission. The InfoDept.BN application can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Playstore.
