Philippines Navy Awarded Royal Brunei Navy Badge

The Flag Officer In Command, Philippines Navy has been awarded the Royal Brunei Navy Command Badge. The presentation of the award was by consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF. The Royal Brunei Navy Command Badge was awarded to Vice Admiral Ronald Joseph S. Mercado, AFP.
The badge was presented by Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the RBAF, yesterday morning at the RBN Headquarters. Vice Admiral Ronald Joseph S. Mercado, AFP took over the post as Flag Officer In Command Philippines Navy on the 12th of November 2016. The award was in appreciation of the contributions and service rendered in strengthening and improving cooperation between the two forces. Vice Admiral Ronald Joseph S. Mercado, AFP and wife is in the country for a three day familiarisation visit.
