Village Tahlil and Doa Arwah Ceremony

It is the month of Sya'ban, the month before Ramadan and Muslims in the country are holding Tahlil and Doa Arwah for their departed relatives. This afternoon, the Takmir Committee of Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Mukim Kilanas with the cooperation of the Kampung Kilanas Consultative Council held one such ceremony at the mosque in Kampong Bebatik Kilanas.
The ceremony was preceded by a special talk entitled, Preparations for Ramadhan. Presented by an invited speaker, Awang Haji Abdurrahman bin Haji Ajak, the talk highlighted the parents' duty to instruct their children to fast when they have reached the age of seven. Also present was Awang Roslan bin Haji Tajaah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
