Around 100 Year 7 students from Sekolah Menengah Rimba II attended a National Workshop ‘Menghayati Bendera dan Lagu Kebangsaan Negara Brunei Darussalam’ which took place at the school Learning Space.

The workshop was conducted by Assistant Officer from Information Department, Awang Muhd. Nurakram bin Noraini @ Bahrin where he touched regarding the procedurs on how to raise the national flag and the history of Brunei Darussalam National Anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’ in detail.

They also had the opportunitiy to watch a clip titled ‘Semarak Pengibaran Bendera Negara’ and an animation ‘Tatacara Mengibarkan Bendera Negara’.

The talk followed by a quiz and presentation of prizes to students who managed to answer the questions correctly.

Also present was the Principal of the School, Dayang Hajah Khadijah binti Haji Damit and the staffs of the school.

The Programme was one of the continous effort from the Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office in which to inculcate the spirit of patriotism for the students as well as honor the national anthem and the national flag.
