The Best Shuttler Award in the Badminton Championship Final for Primary Schools Tutong I went to a student from Kampong Menengah Primary School, Awang Abdul Raziq bin Rosmadi in the Boys Single Category and from Brunei Islamic College (Mahad Islam), Dayang Auni Syahirah Barizah in the Girls Single Category.

Meanwhile, in the Boys Double Category, the first place went to Yashwantnoah and Awang Md Hazim from Bukit Panggal Primary School, and in the Girls Double Category, the trophy went to Dayang Hannan Harisah and Dayang Nazurah from Kampong Keriam Primary School.

The three-day tournament was organised by the Department of Co-Curriculum, Ministry of Education and hosted by Penanjong Primary School, Tutong. The final was held yesterday at Tutong Sports Complex.

In the Boys Single Category, the runner-up was Awang Syamin Fahmi bin Suni from SR Penanjong and second runner-up was Awang Md Razif Haziq bin Awang Md Eddy Shahrin from SR Tutong Kem.

In the Boys Double Category, the runner-up was Awang Md Hafizul Haziq and Awang Waldan Muiz from SR Sinaut, and the second runner-up was Awang Md Nurhidayat and Awang Md Khairi from SR Kampong Menengah.

In the Girls Single Category, the runner-up was Dayang Soneeita Anak Stapa from SR PDN PJ Sengkarai, whilst the second-runner up was Dayang Nur Haziqah Farisya from SR Tutong Kem.

In the Girls Double Category, the runner-up was Dayang Mazreleviantie and Dayang Nur Amal Syahirah from SR Tutong Kem, and the second runner-up was Dayang Nur Amalina Izzati and Dayang Hanna Natasya from SR Sinaut.

The tournament, held as one of the annual activities of the Department of Co-Curriculum, Tutong District Branch, was also to select the best representatives for the Tutong I area for the upcoming National Inter-Primary Schools Sports Festival.

Awang Zulkifli bin Haji Ahmad, Education Officer, Primary School Division, Department of Schools, Tutong, presented the prizes.
