The 14th Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament came to a close with a prize presentation ceremony yesterday at the Royal Brunei Golf Club in Jalan Berakas.

Awang Qawim bin Haji Aslimon emerged as the champion for the overall gross category while the runner-up and first runner-up were Awang Johari bin Haji Ahmad and Awang Seruji bin Haji Setia respectively.

As for the overall nett category, the winner was Awang Haji Patera bin Madil while Awang Zulehram bin Yakub and Awang Shahminan bin Haji Damit took the runner-up and first runner-up positions.

Present to hand over the prizes was the guest of honour, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.

Participated by 250 participants, the three-day tournament managed to collect BND$40,000, together with generous donations from special corporate sponsors of the event including a BND$12,000 donation from the Managing Director of GHK Motors Sendirian Berhad, IBA Petrol Station and Trading, NBT and RBA Golf Club.

The tournament was organised with executive partners RBA Golf Club and Cityneon Displays and Construction Sendirian Berhad.

The main corporate sponsors were GHK Motors, NBT Brunei Sendirian Berhad, IBA Petrol Station and Trading; while Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata were the event's media partners.
