MUARA

The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) on Wednesday bade farewell to one of its Coastal Patrol Craft  (CPC), KDB Penyerang in a decommissioning ceremony held at the Muara Naval Base.

Present as the guest of honour was the Commander of the RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, who officiated the decommissioning of KDB Penyerang.

The CPC Squadron Commander, Lieutenant Nazurah binti Haji Mahaleh, led the ceremony and presented to the Commander of the RBN the Navy Ensign and the ship’s commissioning pennant.

This marked the completion of KDB Penyerang’s four decades of service which started on June 24,1975.

KDB Penyerang was one of three CPCs built by Vosper Thornycroft in Singapore. Throughout its service, she was involved in numerous operational deployments, multi-lateral exercises as well as search and rescue.
