The Anugerah Pilihan Online (APO2016) this Saturday night will be a lively one when the most fashionable celebrity is selected to win cash prizes in the purple carpet event.

The two prizes that will be awarded during the event are for the Most Glamorous and Fashionable Man (Fesyen Glam Terhebat Lelaki) and Most Glamorous and Fashionable Woman (Fesyen Glam Terhebat Wanita), sponsored by Singapore’s Doktor Kereta owner Ismail Yusof.

The two winners will receive cash prizes worth RM1,888 each.

Ismail said the winners would be decided based on whether their styles that night matched the pre-determined theme of Digital Glam.

“I believe the celebrities will show up looking their best at the event, but only two will be chosen to win the cash prize,” he told mStar Online.

Apart from prize money, the winners will also receive special trophies sponsored by the organisers.

When asked why he chose the numbers 1,888 as the amount of the prize, Ismail said the number was based on Chinese belief that it brings luck.

Two professional judges appointed by the organisers will choose the most fashionable celebrity at the event.

“The winners are not restricted to APO2016 finalists alone, any artiste present at the event is also in the running,” said Ismail.

APO2016 is a joint collaboration between mStar Online and Suria FM. The main sponsor is Dnars.

There are as many as 18 categories for voting, with APO2016 Ultimate Celebrity being one of the main ones.

APO2016 will be aired on TV2 at 9pm.

Artistes who will be performing at the event include Dayang Nurfaizah, Hazama, Ella, Amar Baharin, ADi Putra and One Nation Emcee.

Others include Syamil (of Academy Fantasia 2016), Altimet, Caliph Buskers, Sandra, Ronnie and Iwere.

There will also be a special performance paying tribute to the late Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan who passed away on March 18.
