BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

In conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan, The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) once again continued their helping hand activity with the distribution of ‘Iftar Cooked Meal’ to more than 60 families that are in needs.

MKM will be donating 400 packed meals for 10 days from today until 10th June with different menus everyday at MKM Headquarters, Melabau Complex, Kampong Serusop.

According to a statement from MKM Secretary General Dayang Hamidah binti Haj Lakem, she explained that the meals are cooked by one of MKM members and each pack costs about BND $3.

She also said that MKM will try their best to bring joy and happiness to the families, so at the very least they will know that they are being noticed and cared for.

Adding to that, MKM would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the donators that are supporting ‘Iftar Cooked Meal’ Project.

MKM is an Non Government Organisation (NGO) that focused on the social welfare towards the families that are in need, ranging from needy families, abandoned elderly/elderly couple, women who are victims of spousal abuse, people with disabilities abandoned by family and mentally challenged individuals, among others.
