BERAKAS, BRUNEI-MUARA

Two Bruneians will be taking part in the 92nd Japan Synchronised Swimming Championships Open in Tokyo on April 29- May 1.

Jacqueline Lim and Dayang Nur Hafizah Ahmad will be led by team manager, Dayang Nur Anna Muin, who is also the coach.

They will be competing in two solo and one duet events spread over the three days of competition.

The team will be up against the giants of synchronised swimming from Canada, Australia, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Switzerland, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan.

"It will be a great exposure for our swimmers ... winning a medal will be a bonus.

"Our objective is to provide international exposure for them as we hope to groom them for the SEA Games in 2017.

"We want to start our preparations now," said Awang Aziz Latip, President of the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association.
