The peace and security of a country requires strong spirit and close cooperation among all parties.  The Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF is one of the parties entrusted with upholding and defending the sovereignty of the Monarch, religion and the nation and its service to the country is invaluable.  Apart from that, peace and security will also exist in a country where people pray to Allah and thank the Almighty for the blessings and bounties given to them.  The topic was highlighted in the Friday sermon in conjunction with the 56th Anniversary of the RBAF.  The anniversary is celebrated on every 31st of May.

In the Khutbah or sermon, the prayer leaders reminded armed the forces personnel to perform their duties with full responsibility, sincerity and dedication so that the country is safe from threats and hostile actions. The Imam or prayer leader however also stressed that defending the country is not the sole responsibility of the security forces, saying it is also the duty of all the people.  Hence it is an obligation to instil in the hearts of the people, a strong love for the country, religion and the nation.
