JALAN PASAR BARU, GADONG

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held the third series of the 'Kurapak Kitani' programme entitled 'My Call of Duty: Time to Shine' to raise spiritual awareness among students and encourage them to continuously explore the fields of knowledge.

Awang Adi Aismat bin Lamat, a UNISSA graduate in Islamic History and Civilisation and Dayang Hajah Ummi Faizah binti Abdul Rahman, a Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) PhD graduate in Dakwah and Leadership gave a lecture to share their experiences and give useful tips to the about 100 first and second year students participating in the programme.

The lecture touched on the importance of maintaining one's relations with Allah the Almighty, as well as obligations and prohibitions.

The speakers said a university student must be brave to get out of one's 'comfort zone', be grateful for the blessings bestowed on him or her as well as be humble.

Students should not only attain their objectives but also apply the knowledge they gained, the speakers said.
