Radio Brunei Service of the Radio Television Brunei Department, RTB, has launched its 9th "Jalinan Kasih" Project in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.   The project is conducted in the department's effort to reach out to the community of various levels and backgrounds throughout the country. The project for this year was launched this morning at the Al-Ansar Studio, Radio Television Brunei in the capital.

The Jalinan Kasih Project was officially launched by Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, the Director of Radio Television Brunei.   Semasa majlis ini, eleven recipients comprising orphans, fire victims, senior citizens, converts and those in need received donations in the forms of cash and basic necessities. This year, Jalinan Kasih Project also handed over contributions such as wheelchairs and medical equipment to We Care Association. We Care is a new Non-Government Humanitarian Association established last October and has 36 youth members. According to Haji Muhammad Faisal Haji Ahmad, the President of We Care Association. The contributions will be handed over to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital for patients in need of such equipment.

The recipients expressed their gratitude and happiness for the contributions. Jalinan Kasih Project will move on to the other districts to distribute donations and contributions to selected groups. Jalinan Kasih has been RTB's annual project since 2009, and is an initiative of the Radio Service staff as a social responsibility derived from a caring attitude towards the needy.
