Murder Suspect’s Mother ‘Glad She’s Been Arrested’

BANGKOK

Despite being grief-stricken, the mother of Priyanuch Nonwangchai, the prime suspect in the murder of a karaoke bar singer and the dismemberment of her body, said she was glad that her daughter was being held by police, otherwise she could not have survived.

Sakorn Pasee (pic) said on Sunday although her daughter had been arrested and would be put behind bar, it was good that Piyanuch did not have to flee to other countries.

“I’m afraid that she might get attacked. It’s better to come back to Thailand to fight against the case here,” Sakorn said at her house in Khao Suan Kwang district, Khon Kaen province.

“If I meet her I will ask if she really did it,” Sakorn said, referring to the murder.

She said she planned to bring guavas and mangoes for her daughter when she met her.- The Nation/Asia News Network
