The Bandar Magistrate's Court has fixed the date for a case in which a local man denied the charge of assaulting his wife for trial, for July 26, 27 and 28, 2016, during a mention of the case yesterday.

The twenty-seven-year-old defendant, Mohammad Faizal bin Awang Burot @ Karim, allegedly gripped the wrist, punched the arm and hit the head of his 30-year-old wife repeatedly while they were in a car at The Airport Mall in Berakas at 12.45pm on March 22.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Sharon Yeo has seven witnesses ready to testify, while the defendant confirmed having none.

Magistrate Pengiran Shahyzul bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman presided over the case yesterday.
