In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Tadarus ceremonies continue to be held at mosques throughout the country to further enliven the holy month.  The department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with the members of Ameerah Al Hajah Maryam Mosque Takmir Committee organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for the mosque's youth group throughout the country. The ceremony took place at the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Al-Fatihah led by the Minister of Religious Affairs and followed by the reading of tahtim by the youth group from the Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque. The ceremony coincided with the reading of tahlil and doa arwah. The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was enlivened with dikir marhaban by the youth group.   

At the ceremony, Yang Berhormat presented certificates to the khatam participants which were handed over to the mosque's imam of the four districts. The ceremony ended with the reading of doa peliharakan sultan dan negara.
