Korean Govt' to Host 2016 Global Korea Scholarship for Science, Engineering Students

Korean government will host the 2016 Global Korea Scholarship for science and engineering students from Asean countries.
This scholarship programme is open to students who are in their second to fourth year of college in Asean member countries.
The aim of the programme, which is one of the ROK-Asean cooperative projects, is to enhance exchanges and understanding among ROK (Republic of Korea) and Asean future leaders and to provide Asean students with the opportunity to experience Korea's advanced technology and industrial development as well as academic life.
The Korean Embassy in Brunei believes that this programme is beneficial especially for students who have interest in studying in Korea and said that the Korean government has increased the number of participants for this programme from 100 to 120 of which, six students will be selected from Brunei Darussalam this year.
Interested students whose major is Science and Technology or Engineering are required to choose among the universities that include - Chonbuk National University - Information and Communications Engineering; Chung-Ang University - Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Chungnam National University - Animal and Dairy Science; Dankook University - Computer Software; Gyeongsang National University - Mechanical, Aviation and Information Convergence Engineering.
The host will fully cover all costs such as airfares, accommodation, meals, training-related cost and field trips.
