One hundred and fifty Human Resource Development (HRD) ambassadors from government ministries, departments and the private sector attended a ceremony to present the Civil Service Institute (IPA) Learning and Capacity Development Programme yesterday at The Rizqun International Hotel.

The programme is designed to convey information on the initiatives and transition strategy of IPA. It also prepares a platform in strengthening the commitment of HRD ambassadors.

The event saw Dayang Hajah Norezan binti Haji Hambali, Director of the IPA, presenting the strategic initiatives conducted by the institute over the last three years that were based on corporate transformation.

She also touched on the changes pertaining to the 'blended learning approach' that compels a transition of strategy in HRD.

The information sharing session continued with Awang Norazlee bin Haji Ramlee, Head of the Training and Development Unit, presenting the various programmes offered by IPA from April 2016 until March 2017 that include the procedures on applications, consultations, and in-house training services.

Dayang Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohsin, Head of Corporate Communications Unit, presented her piece on Corporate Marketing Strategy that involves the role of her unit - the coordination of internal and external services of IPA.

This was followed by Dayang Siti Rozidah binti Jalani, Head of Strategic Planning and Development, presenting the findings of the 'Evaluation on the Level of Practices on Human Resources Development in the Civil Service' conducted by the HRD taskforce.

The said research can contribute to the efforts in enhancing the management system on the development of human resources into a structure that is more standardised and holistic, leading to the implementation of mechanisms that can wholly advocate the development of officers and staff.
