KUANTAN

In attempting to retrieve a lighter that dropped into a toilet bowl, a man ended up getting his arm stuck for more than three hours.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Anuar Hassan said five firefighters were dispatched to the 30-year-old man's home in Taman Seri Kemuning, Temerloh, after receiving an emergency call at 4.18pm Thursday.

"Upon arrival at the location at 4.34pm, they found a man with his right arm stuck in the toilet. His condition was stable.

"The team broke the toilet and cut through a steel pipe to extricate the man's arm. The victim was then sent to the hospital for treatment," he said.

The operation ended at 7.43pm, said Anuar.
