​Universiti Teknologi Brunei, UTB's new students intake for the academic year 2017/ 2018 are urged to take the opportunity to learn and acquire new knowledge, develop soft skills, and enhance their personal attributes in profound ways that will equip them for life after University and in work place. The advice was made by Professor Doctor Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, UTB's Vice Chancellor at the Orientation Week of the university, yesterday.

 

Professor Doctor Hajah Zohrah then said UTB's niche is in Engineering and Technology and its motto is Knowledgeable, Virtuous and Innovative where she hoped the motto will become a moral imperative to UTB students. The country's effort towards innovation and specifically innovation driven by academic collaboration, technology clusters and relationships between universities and businesses will play an increasingly important role in driving forward growth, productivity and prosperity.

 

UTB welcomes over 400 new students including 6 international students and comprising of undergraduates and postgraduate students. Currently, UTB offers undergraduate degrees, Taught Masters, Masters by Research, and PhD programmes in Engineering, Business, Computing and Informatics and Applied Science and Mathematics.
